Lucknow: Elections for the SGPGI Faculty Forum concluded on Saturday, with the results giving a new team to represent the institute’s teachers’ body.Election officer Prof Uttam Kumar said 141 members exercised their rights.“Dr Mohan Gurjar, professor in the department of critical care medicine, was elected the president. The posts of secretary and treasurer were filled unopposed, with Dr Vivek Singh (radiodiagnosis) and Dr Vijai Dutt Upadhyaya (paediatric surgery) elected respectively.”Other newly elected members include Dr Prabhaker Mishra (biostatistics and health informatics), Dr Rudrashish Haldar (anaesthesiology), Dr Punita Lal (radiotherapy), Dr Naveen Garg (cardiology), Dr Rachna Agrawal (ophthalmology) and Dr Anant Mehrotra (neurosurgery).SGPGI director Prof R K Dhiman congratulated the team and expressed hope that they would play a proactive role in strengthening academic collaboration, promoting faculty welfare and contributing to the institute’s overall development.
