Meta launches AI-powered shopping tools across Instagram and Facebook

Meta has announced a sweeping expansion of its shopping and advertising features, introducing new AI-driven tools, enhanced Reels integrations, and creator-focused monetization options.

The update is designed to help brands move consumers seamlessly from discovery to purchase while empowering creators to turn content into commerce.Meta is giving creators more ways to highlight products directly in Reels. Businesses in 22 countries, including India, can now provide product catalogs to creators, enabling shoppable Reels that drive conversions. The company is also expanding its Creator Marketplace, which now features advanced audience filtering to help brands identify the right partners.

According to Meta, campaigns using Partnership Ads deliver lower costs per acquisition and higher click-through rates compared to traditional ads.Meta is expanding Reels Trending Ads inventory with new categories such as TV & Movies, Travel, Business, and Finance. This allows brands to appear alongside culturally relevant content at peak engagement moments. Early studies show these ads deliver significant lifts in ad recall and brand awareness.

Meta is rolling out generative AI voiceover and translation features, enabling advertisers to scale video content across languages without recreating assets. New tools also allow brands to automatically generate catalog product videos for Instagram Reels, boosting conversions by turning static product listings into dynamic video ads.The company is testing product set optimization, giving retail media networks more control over which products are promoted and providing detailed reporting. This ensures ad budgets are focused on priority items, such as new product launches, rather than entire catalogs.
