Meryl Streep captivated at The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour finale in a striking cobalt Saint Laurent coat dress, subtly referencing Miranda Priestly’s iconic cerulean monologue. Anne Hathaway complemented her in a soft, pastel Susan Feng creation. The contrasting styles highlighted the film’s anticipated return, set for May 1.
The Asia leg of The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour has officially wrapped – and for the final stop, Meryl Streep made sure all eyes were on her. She stepped out in a striking cobalt-blue coat dress from Saint Laurent, designed by Anthony Vaccarello, and honestly, it was one of those looks that quietly commands attention. The outfit itself played with structure in a really interesting way. It had a high, stand-up collar, bold shoulders, and slightly relaxed sleeves – so while the shape was strong, it didn’t feel stiff. Originally seen on the Fall/Winter 2025 runway with a low-slung belt, the styling here took a smarter turn. Streep and her stylist, Micaela Erlanger, moved the belt up to the waist, giving the silhouette a more defined, hourglass feel instead of that dropped, boxy look.
Then came the details. A sparkling maple leaf-shaped brooch from Cindy Chao – set with diamonds and yellow stones – was pinned right at the front, adding just the right amount of drama without going overboard. And if you’re a fan of the original The Devil Wears Prada, this colour choice felt like a subtle inside joke. It instantly brings back Miranda Priestly’s iconic cerulean monologue – though this shade leaned more cobalt than cerulean, the reference was hard to miss.
Streep kept the rest of the styling sharp and minimal. Oversized sunglasses (also Saint Laurent), sheer stockings from Wolford, and sleek pointed heels by Alexandre Birman completed the look. A diamond ring from Cindy Chao added that final polished touch.

Walking alongside her was Anne Hathaway, who went in a completely different direction style-wise – but it worked just as well. Styled by Erin Walsh, she wore a soft, floaty dress by Susan Feng from the Fall 2026 collection.
The fabric had this almost dreamy, sheer quality, with pastel tones of blue and pink blending together – though under the red carpet lights, it appeared almost white. The silhouette felt light and playful – sleeveless, slightly flared, and falling just below the knee. She paired it with barely-there transparent heels from Gianvito Rossi, keeping things delicate and clean. For jewellery, Hathaway chose white gold and diamond earrings from Bulgari, a brand she’s long been associated with.Together, the two created that perfect contrast – Streep’s look was structured, powerful, and a little commanding, while Hathaway’s felt soft, youthful, and almost ethereal. The press tour itself has been a global one, building buzz for the sequel to the cult 2006 film, based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel. In The Devil Wears Prada 2, Streep returns as Miranda Priestly, while Hathaway reprises her role as Andy Sachs. This time around, the story follows Andy as she reconnects with Miranda to help navigate a crisis at Runway magazine. With a theatrical release set for May 1, the film is already generating plenty of excitement – and if the press tour fashion is anything to go by, it’s going to be just as stylish as the original.
