To facilitate thousands of candidates appearing for the Bihar Public Service Commission’s assistant education development officer exams, Indian Railways is running special trains on April 15, 18, and 21. These services will operate on key routes connecting Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur, and Bettiah to Patliputra Junction via Hajipur.
Patna: The railways has announced operation of special trains across key routes in the state on April 15, 18 and 21 in a bid to ease travel for thousands of candidates appearing at examinations conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for the post of assistant education development officer (AEDO) scheduled to take place at multiple centres across the state.According to Samastipur division public relations officer (PRO) R K Singh, these special trains will run on the Muzaffarpur-Patliputra Junction, Darbhanga-Hajipur-Patliputra Junction, Samastipur-Hajipur-Patliputra Junction and Bettiah-Hajipur-Patliputra Junction routes. He said these routes fall under the jurisdiction of Samastipur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) which is coordinating the arrangements.The examinations are scheduled on April 14, 15, 17, 18, 20 and 21 and will be conducted in two sittings each day. With a large number of aspirants expected to travel to various examination centres, the railways anticipates heavy passenger traffic during this period, the PRO said.“The railways is committed to providing safe and convenient travel for examinees. These additional services will help manage the surge in passengers and ensure candidates reach their destinations on time,” he said.He added the candidates are advised to check train schedules and timings in advance and plan their journeys accordingly.
