Gurgaon: A 38-year-old woman died by suicide at her residence in Sector 48 on Monday evening. The police filed an FIR at Sadar police station against the husband and his relatives for abetment to suicide under BNS after the woman’s family filed a complaint.The deceased, Saroj, lived with her husband at Vipul World in Sector 48. She was a homemaker.Police said a preliminary inquiry suggests that she had an argument with her husband shortly before the incident.A police team reached the spot and initiated inquest proceedings. The body was sent for autopsy and later handed over to the family.Police said statements of family members and neighbours are being recorded to establish the sequence of events. Investigators are also examining whether there was any history of domestic discord or harassment.Officials said legal action will be taken on the basis of the findings of the investigation. No arrests have been made so far.
