Why PNG for every kitchen remains a pipe dream amid LPG crunch – The Times of India

With the US-Iran ceasefire hanging by a thread and amid concerns over availability of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, the government has urged consumers to shift to piped natural gas (PNG) or electric cookstoves.
“There is pressure on LPG and that’s why repeated requests have been made to consumers to shift to other available energy sources — PNG or electric cookstoves,” Sujata Sharma, joint secretary, petroleum ministry, said on April 13.
