Hazaribag: The body of a 35-year-old man from Latehar district, who was visiting his sister here, was found floating in Charwa Dam on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Guddu Tiwari, a resident of Balumath.
Tiwari’s body was spotted by locals who had gone for their morning walk near the reservoir.A team from Pelawal police out-post sent Tiwari’s body for postmortem examination at sadar hospital. “The deceased had come to visit his sister in Hazaribag and was reportedly under mental stress due to a domestic dispute,” Ved Prakash Pandey, Pelawal OP in-charge, said.Police suspect it to be a case of suicide, though the exact cause of death will be ascertained after the postmortem report. “Further investigation is underway,” he said.
