Himachal Pradesh is so much more than snow-capped mountains; it is also the lively buzz of its mountain markets. Shopping in and around Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj is like participating in a pilgrimage to a spiritual place. While the material objects you buy are excellent, their linkage to the Tibetan culture and the rustic charm of the Himachal region make each market a one-of-a-kind place to explore.
From the peaceful tranquillity of the Tibetan Handicrafts Cooperative Centre to the eclectic vibe of ‘Hippie Village’ in Dharamkot, these markets provide you with more than just a souvenir; they provide you with a look into a beautiful cultural tapestry. Whether you’re looking for beautiful Thangka paintings, fragrant Kangra tea, or custom-made turquoise jewellery, six different markets epitomise the true essence of these stunning hills. Explore this visual journey through Himachal Pradesh’s most exciting marketplaces.
