SSC GD Constable 2026 exam city intimation slip

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the exam city intimation slip for the Constable (GD) recruitment examination 2026 today, April 19, 2026. Candidates who have registered for Constable (General Duty) posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Assam Rifles, and Sepoy posts in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) can now check their allotted exam city online.The information has been made available on the official SSC website. Candidates need to log in using their registration details to view their exam city.

What is the exam city intimation slip?

The exam city slip tells candidates where their exam centre will be located (city only). It does not include full exam centre details or the exact address. This is released in advance so candidates can plan their travel and stay arrangements.

Follow the steps below to download it.

  1. Visit the official SSC website: https://ssc.gov.in
  2. Click on the login section
  3. Enter your registration number and password
  4. Check and download your exam city details

Admit card release next

The SSC has clarified that the admission certificate (admit card) will be released 2–3 days before the exam date. This document will contain complete details such as exact exam centre address, and reporting time.

Candidates must carry the admit card to the exam centre.

SSC GD 2026 exam schedule

As per the earlier notification, the SSC GD exam will be conducted in multiple phases between April 27 and May 30, 2026 across the country.

The exam will be held in four windows:

  • April 27 to May 2, 2026
  • May 4 to May 9, 2026
  • May 18 to May 23, 2026
  • May 25 to May 30, 2026

Preference system already implemented

This year, SSC introduced a preference-based scheduling system, allowing candidates to select their preferred exam week while applying. The aim is to make the process smoother and reduce crowding at centres.Candidates are now advised to:

  • Check their exam city as soon as possible
  • Plan travel in advance
  • Keep login details ready for admit card download
