'Want my country back': MAGA reporter Sara Gonzales faces backlash for criticising Indian-origin kids playing in park

BlazeTV reporter and Texas journalist Sara Gonzales is currently facing heavy backlash online for her comment on some kids playing in a park. The media personality who gained fame after claiming to have busted H-1B scams in the state took to X (formerly Twitter) to share that she took her 5-year-old to a park in Plano, Texas and was surrounded by foreigners. She wrote that they were speaking ‘multiple foreign languages,’ making it ‘more difficult’ for her son to make friends. “This is my hometown. It’s unrecognisable. I want my country back,” she added.

Gonzales received immense flak for her post on the social media app with people criticising her for extending her hatred towards minorities to kids.“You’ve completely lost yourself in hatred toward minorities; you’ve become blind.

Lady, no 5-year-old born in this country speaks their parents’ foreign language like that. I have three kids, all under the age of 5, and they are top students in their school. None of them speak the language I speak with my mom. They speak English even at home!” replied an Indian-origin netizen.“May you have FAFO there. As you carry “it” already. Now you are coming for kids. Ridiculous POS. Hope your kid has at least a compassionate Father.”

added another.“False. Your 5-year-old will readily make friends with those speaking English and other languages. Why? Because he does not carry the racism that you do. Racism is taught. Loving others is innate,” one claimed. However, due to the rising anti-Indian rhetoric in the United States, many supported Gonzales’ sentiment. “One solution is befalling on us: Do everything in our power to make them uncomfortable and unwelcome.

For far too long have we been prisoners of our own standards and norms,” one wrote.“End H1B! Let me tell you WHY: It was a temporary work visa. Okay. We’re in one of the worst job markets in years. So send the Indians home. We don’t need them. End the temporary visas and give the jobs to Americans,” one recommended.Gonzales has recently gone viral online for her anti-Indian and anti-H1-B activism in Texas and surrounding areas.

Recently, she attacked an Indian-origin man accusing him of running an H-1B-H4 scam. Gonzales said Naveen Tummala’s H-1B was sponsored by Flexera Global Inc., but he was calling himself the owner of the ‘Golcona Xpress’ food truck, which has several outlets in the DFW area.In areas like Plano and Frisco in Texas, the Indian population has grown in the past 10 years. As per a May 2025 Pew Research Center study, Texas has a population of 570,000 Indians, one of the largest in the country.

However, negative sentiment toward the community’s representation in the state has increased immensely over the past few months. From city council meetings to online posts, Indian-Americans are being targeted everywhere with rhetoric against their culture and community. A 2026 survey by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace found that since the start of 2025, 1 in 4 Indian-Americans have been called a slur along with describing the US as the ‘epicentre of anti-Indian digital racism’.
