Surdas Jayanti is one of the most significant day in Hindu religion The day is mainly observed oin North India. According to some people, he was born in Sihi village in Haryana, while others think he was born to Pandit Ramdas Saraswat in a Saraswat Brahmin family in the Runkata region of Agra.

He was abandoned by his family and due to his early blindness, he lived his entire life on the Yamuna River. He was a devoted follower of Lord Krishna.

He became a disciple of Shri Vallabhacharya and taught about the life of Lord Krishna, including his birth and early years and all of his personal experiences. After learning everything abiut Lord Krishna, Surdas devoted his entire life to Krishna.
