Now transformed into an educational hub at MIT Pune, the location served as a nostalgic backdrop for Shivpuri to share stories of the legendary Raj Kapoor and her time filming the 1996 classic Prem Granth. Addressing a new generation of talent at the Acting Pathshala, the actress celebrated the fusion of cinematic history with modern education.

The actress posted on social media about her visit, sharing, “Suprabhat! Had a wonderful time interacting with the young talent in the Acting Pathshala at MIT Pune! The place is special as it was originally RK farm house, I have wonderful memories of shooting Prem Granth and enjoying the famous RK hospitality, and the mangoes that used to come from there. The campus houses a tribute to the legend Shri Raj Kapur. It’s like visiting a pilgrimage!”.

Movies shot at historic RK farmhouse
The historic RK farmhouse, located in Pune’s Loni Kalbhor area along the banks of the Mula-Mutha River, was once owned by Raj Kapoor as a family vacation home and a key shooting spot for his films.
Movies like ‘Sangam’, ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’, ‘Prem Granth’, ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, and many others were filmed there. The property has since become an educational hub focused on upholding the director’s enduring legacy.
A special Raj Kapoor museum on-site showcases mannequins and exhibits drawn from classics like ‘Awara’, ‘Mera Naam Joker’, and more.
