It is being said that a new character is set to be introduced in the storyline. Currently Nilankur Mukherjee plays the male lead. Joining the cast will be Tathagata Mukherjee, who will portray a doctor working primarily with tribal communities. Meanwhile, another new serial has been announced and a promo released by the channel. This announcement has raised speculation regarding the future of Rangamati Tirandaj. However, no official confirmation has been made about the show ending or undergoing a change in the time slot. If the serial were to conclude soon, it would imply Tathagata’s appearance as a very brief one. Industry sources though suggest that it may be shifted possibly to a different time slot.
