A heartbreaking event unfolded in Ariyaon village when 15-year-old Shweta Kumari was tragically shot after answering her front door to a mysterious stranger. The shocking event took place on Wednesday afternoon while her family was at rest. As she tried to turn away for safety, the bullet struck her from behind, claiming her life in an instant.
Buxar: A 15-year-old girl was shot dead at Ariyaon village under Krishna Brahm police station area of the district on Wednesday.Upon receiving news of the incident, Dumraon SDPO Polast Kumar and Krishna Brahma SHO Ravi Kumar rushed to the village.The deceased was identified as Shweta Kumari, daughter of Bablu Upadhyay. According to police, everyone in the house was asleep during the afternoon when, suddenly, someone knocked on the door. Hearing the knock, the teenager opened the door. Then an unidentified person fired at her.Although the teenager attempted to save herself by trying to flee back inside the house, the bullet struck her in the back before she could escape. She died on the spot. Hearing the sound of the gunshot, family members rushed to the door, but by the time they arrived, the accused had already fled the place.The family members immediately informed the Krishna Brahm police and the Dumraon SDPO about the incident.The SDPO said an FSL team has arrived and the police investigating the case with all angles and the accused would be arrested soon.
