Non-interlocking work at Neura hits train services on Patna–DDU route

Attention all travelers planning to transit between Buxar, Patna, and DDU! There are significant interruptions at Neura station due to necessary non-interlocking work. On April 26, several passenger trains will be canceled, and many long-distance routes are being redirected. Be advised that some express trains will also start and end at different stations.

Buxar: Rail passengers travelling between Buxar, Patna and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction (DDU) are facing inconvenience due to ongoing non-interlocking (NI) work at Neura station under Danapur division for connecting the new Neura–Jatdumri bypass rail line.Buxar railway traffic inspector Vindhyachal Pandey said pre-NI work is underway from April 18 to 25, while the main NI work will be carried out on April 26. Train operations on the Patna–DDU section are expected to be affected till April 26. “Several passenger trains passing through Buxar will remain cancelled on April 26, while many long-distance trains have been diverted through alternative routes to maintain connectivity.

Some trains will operate via the DDU–Gaya–Jehanabad section, while others will be diverted through the DDU–Tilaiya–Kiul route,” he said.Changes in origination points and partial termination of services have also been announced. A few express trains will terminate at Danapur or Rajendranagar instead of their usual destinations, while some passenger services will originate from Bihta rather than their scheduled stations.

Certain express trains will also start from Danapur or Rajendranagar on April 26.In addition, several passenger trains will run under regulation, resulting in delays ranging from 30 minutes to two hours between April 24 and 26. A few long-distance express trains are also expected to operate behind schedule during this period.Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the latest train status through official platforms such as the National Train Enquiry System before leaving for stations. Passengers have been cautioned against relying on third-party apps and are advised to consider alternative travel arrangements, especially on April 25 and 26.
