In a dramatic turn of events, law enforcement agents stormed the residence of former RJD MLA Naushadun Nabi, known as Pappu Khan, and his spouse Aafreen Sultana in Biharsharif. This raid is part of an ongoing investigation into a land fraud scheme involving counterfeit documentation.
Biharsharif: Police carried out a coordinated raid at the Biharsharif residence of former RJD MLA Naushadun Nabi alias Pappu Khan in connection with a case registered at Vena police station, involving allegations of land-related fraud and use of forged documents.The operation was conducted on Thursday under the supervision of Sadar (2) DSP Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal. A joint police team from multiple police stations participated in the raid, including Vena, Biharsharif town, Harnaut, Kalyan Bigha, Chero and Bhagwan Bigha.According to police, the team reached the Biharsharif residence of Pappu and his wife Aafreen Sultana as part of a planned operation to arrest them in connection with the case.
However, both accused were found absconding from the residence at the time of the raid.Police sources said the couple had fled before the arrival of the team after receiving information about the planned action. Following this, search operations were intensified across multiple locations to trace and apprehend them.Officials said the case involves allegations the accused conspired to illegally acquire land using forged documents and facilitated its registration in the name of Aafreen Sultana.
