While there has been no confirmation from Marvel Studios, some users have gone as far as demanding that Marvel drop the trailer to mark the occasion, as the film will reportedly have a direct tie to ‘Doomsday’.The makers even plan on re-releasing the box office blockbuster before ‘Doomsday’ hits theatres on December 18.
Despite the online buzz, no authentic footage from ‘Doomsday’ has surfaced online following CinemaCon, where the trailer was reportedly screened behind closed doors.As per reports, Marvel’s enhanced anti-piracy measures at the event may have prevented leaks. According to attendee accounts shared online, green laser beams were seen sweeping across the theatre during the presentation. Initially mistaken for prank laser pointers, the lights were later believed to be part of a monitoring system designed to detect unauthorised recording.
The system allegedly used night-vision technology to identify phones attempting to capture footage, triggering lasers that would disrupt recordings by darkening screens.Others have also noted that CinemaCon audiences differ significantly from typical ComicCon fan conventions, as they are largely composed of theatre owners and industry professionals rather than general audiences more inclined to leak content.While the trailer has not leaked online, descriptions of the footage have made their way online. As per reports, Robert Downey Jr. portraying Doctor Doom will feature with a different voice from his portrayal of Tony Stark, delivering the line, “Before this day is done, we shall be faced with an unthinkable decision.”Other scenes described include Thor clashing with Doom before reuniting with Steve Rogers, culminating in a moment where Mjolnir reportedly leaves Thor’s hand and flies to Rogers.‘Avengers: Endgame’ achieved a massive success at the box office, earning roughly USD 2.799 billion.
