Agra: Jal Kal department GM Arunendra Kumar Rajput has been suspended over alleged corruption involving more than Rs 4.3 crore. He has been attached to Lucknow HQ.Sources in the municipal department of Agra on Friday told TOI that the alleged financial irregularities include Rs 1 crore linked to pipeline repair and laying work, Rs 2.5 crore in water harvesting projects, and Rs 80 lakh in the purchase of sluice valves.A committee confirmed large-scale discrepancies, leading municipal commissioner Ankit Khandelwal to freeze Rajput’s financial powers and recommend action.
