BSP expels two leaders for anti-party activities

Lucknow: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has expelled two senior leaders from the party on charges of anti-party activities and indiscipline, according to an official release. The party’s Ghaziabad unit expelled Jaiprakash Singh on Friday, while the Bulandshahr unit expelled former MLC Dharamveer Singh Ashok on Saturday.Singh had been re-inducted into the BSP in Nov 2025, nearly eight years after he was suspended in 2018 on similar charges. During his earlier stint, he held several senior organisational positions at the national level.“Earlier, he worked for the party in Delhi. After being taken back last year, he was appointed as the party’s in-charge for Kerala,” the BSP release said. It added that Singh had apologised to senior leaders and sought another opportunity to work for the party, following which he was reinstated, but his “anti-party mindset did not change.”The ex-MLC, on the other hand, was warned several times before being expelled on Saturday, said the release.
