Calangute: A tourist from Kerala died after allegedly accidentally falling in a swimming pool of a hotel at Sangolda on Saturday. Saligao police said the deceased, Ajay Pulikkal, had arrived in Goa on a holiday with friends.
Pulikkal reportedly slipped and struck his head against the pool tiles.He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment and was later shifted to the district hospital in Mapusa for further medical care. However, doctors declared him brought dead. The body was shifted to GMC, Bambolim, for postmortem examination. Saligao police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated further investigation.
