NEW DELHI: Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 26.2°C on Sunday, 2.4 degrees below average, according to the IMD. The IMD has predicted a partly cloudy sky during the day and issued an orange alert, warning of heatwave-like conditions in isolated areas by the evening. The maximum temperature is likely to touch around 44°C, the weather office said. Humidity levels stood at 43 per cent at 8:30 am. Air quality in the city remained a concern, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 223 at 9 am, placing it in the ‘poor’ category, as per data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.
