Nainital: Two persons died and four others were injured after a passenger vehicle fell into a gorge near Dudli in Dhari block of Nainital district of Uttarakhand on Monday. The vehicle was on its way from Haldwani to Dudli village, and had six occupants, including the driver.After receiving information on Dial 112, a police team reached the spot and started a rescue operation. With assistance from local residents, police personnel, led by Mukteshwar SHO, SI Hariram, extricated all victims from the wreckage and rushed them to Padampuri community health centre (CHC). They all were from Dudli village.Doctors at the facility declared two individuals – Lata Devi (40) and Harish Chandra Belwal — brought dead. The injured include driver Kamal Sharma (23), Dinesh Chandra (48), Neha Belwal (17) and Subhash Belwal (13).
