After the show, Rahman shared a photo from the concert on Instagram. Along with the picture, he also shared a personal note. He wrote, “Home sweet home ..my loving clan ..touched EPI .. Ps ..before I take a sabbatical for the next 40days from social media ..this is a nice way to sign off”.
The concert celebrated Rahman’s long music journey of more than 30 years. The show began with songs from Roja, his first film from 1992. After that, Rahman played many famous songs from his career. One of them was ‘Jai Ho’, which brought him two Academy Awards.The stage also had many singers with Rahman. Chinmayi Sripada later shared a note and called the moment “surreal.” Rahman’s son AR Ameen also performed. Singers Nisa Shetty, Nitesh Aher, Amrutha Suresh, Nakul Abhyankar, Adithya RK, Rakshita Suresh, and Srinivasa were part of the show. The Wonderment Tour has travelled to many countries before. But the Chennai concert felt more special. It was like Rahman coming home.On the work front, Dhanush was last seen in ‘Tere Ishk Mein’.
