The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (Mospi) deserves congratulations for releasing the updated Consumer Price Index (CPI) series with a weight base year of 2023-24 and price base of 2024. The headline inflation rate stands at 2.75 per cent — 2.73 per cent for rural areas and 2.77 per cent for urban.
