All we know about ‘The Studio Season 2’

Created by Seth Rogen, ‘The Studio’ shows the journey of a Hollywood director, Matt, sandwiched between corporate demands and his own filmmaking desires. While the first season of the Emmy award-winning comedy focused on Matt trying to negotiate between IP demands and creative freedom, the second season of the show will continue where the previous season ended.

The filming of the second season began in late 2025 December and is expected to wrap up by 19th March 2026. Mashable reports that the second season will continue the misadventures of Matt Remick (Seth Rogen) and the Continental Studios team. This time, we will see actors and directors playing heightened versions of themselves. At the 2026 Golden Globes, Rogen also hinted at some plot points for the coming season, speaking to Mashable, the filmmaker said, “We’ve literally written some things that happened leading up to this award show into episodes as we’ve been writing the show.”Yes, Catherine O Hara will be missed during the second season, but she will always remain alive in our hearts. Through Hollywood Reporter, the cast and crew shared a separate statement mourning O’Hara, saying, “We are at a loss for words at the passing of our friend Catherine O’Hara. She was a hero to all of us, and we pinched ourselves every day that we got to work with her in ‘The Studio’. She was somehow classy, warm, and hilarious all at the same time.

We’re unbelievably saddened she is gone and send our deepest sympathy to Bo and all her family.” Fans can’t wait for the second season to drop.
