Livvy Dunne has officially stepped into a new world, and it is far away from the gymnastics floor. The former LSU gymnast was seen on a beach in Los Angeles, training for the upcoming Baywatch reboot.
She was not alone. Model Brooks Nader was right beside her, and the two were even spotted holding hands while practicing scenes.The moment quickly caught attention because it showed Dunne settling into her first major acting role with ease. According to Page Six, both Dunne and Nader were taking part in “ocean training” at Venice Beach before filming begins. They practiced running into the water in slow motion and worked with trained lifeguards to understand real rescue techniques.

Livvy Dunne, 23, is playing a junior lifeguard in the series, while Brooks Nader has landed one of the lead roles. The two already knew each other from past Sports Illustrated shoots, and that comfort clearly showed during training. A source told Page Six, “They’re really excited to be working together. They’re having so much fun and bringing that Sports Illustrated energy straight to Baywatch Beach.”Dunne looked relaxed and playful during the session. She laughed, joked, and stayed close to Nader as they practiced.
It did not feel like a first-time actor struggling to adjust. Instead, she seemed confident and ready to learn.Earlier this month, Dunne shared how acting has been on her mind for a long time. She said, “It’s something I’ve been passionate about for quite some time. I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you’re a student-athlete at school.” She added, “And now that I’m done with school, I have more time to lean into the acting stuff and the creative side of things.”While Dunne is busy in Los Angeles, her boyfriend Paul Skenes is focused on baseball. He recently played for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic and delivered a strong performance in the semifinal win over the Dominican Republic. However, the team lost the final 3-2 to Venezuela.Skenes is now preparing for the MLB season with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He is expected to start their opening game against the New York Mets. Dunne has already made her plans clear about supporting him. She told the Daily Mail, “I’ll try to make all of his starts, that’s my goal this year.” Right now, though, all eyes are on Dunne as she begins this new chapter.
