Hyderabad: Ishan Kishan will lead Sunrisers Hyderabad in the initial part of the Indian Premier League as their regular skipper Pat Cummins will miss a few matches due to injury. Ishan will have his opening partner Abhishek Sharma as his deputy. Both were part of the Indian team that defended the T20 World Cup title recently.
The duo is likely to join the team in the next few days. Cummins, who missed the T20 World Cup, is yet to recover from the injury. “Cummins will miss a few games while recovering from injury. Until he recovers, Kishan will be the captain and Abhishek will be the vice-captain,” SRH announced on social media.
