Union minister Jayant Chaudhary receives death threat; complaint filed, security upped

NEW DELHI: Union minister Jayant Chaudhary allegedly received a death threat from an unidentified caller, an official said on Friday. Chaudhary, the minister of state (Independent Charge) for skill development and entrepreneurship, received the call from an unknown number on Thursday, following which his security was immediately reviewed, the official added, according to news agency PTI. According to police, a complaint was lodged on his behalf at Tughlak Road Police Station, and an investigation has been initiated. Efforts are currently underway to trace the origin of the call and identify the person behind it, officials said.
