Gurgaon: A 26-year-old shift manager working at Badshapur’s M3M Mall died after he slipped and fell through an opening on basement 1 of the building to basement 2, police said.Rizwan, a native of Tarbaganj village in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, lived in Sector 85 and was employed as shift manager at a fast-food outlet in the mall.According to police, the incident took place around 2.30pm on Thursday. “The height between the two floors was around 15 feet. It is unclear why he went to the basement. We are verifying whether any safety lapses occurred during the maintenance work and whether warning signs were placed near the opening.” He was taken to the hospital and doctors declared him dead on arrival. “Statements of family members have been recorded. No foul play has come to light so far,” police said. The body was sent for post-mortem examination and handed over to the family on Friday.
