Iran names US officers responsible for Minab school strike
Iran named US Navy officers commander Leigh R Tate and executive officer Jeffrey E York of the USS Spruance as responsible for a missile strike on a school in Minab that killed 168 people.
In a post, Iranian authorities alleged that the officers ordered three Tomahawk missile launches. Earlier this month, a precision strike on an elementary school in the southern Iranian city left at least 168 people dead, according to reports.
Iran strikes leave US military facing up to $3 billion in losses
The war in Iran has caused significant damage to US military assets, with losses and repair costs estimated between $1.4 billion and $2.9 billion in the first three weeks, largely due to Iranian ballistic missile and drone strikes targeting US and allied infrastructure across the Middle East.
The Pentagon is expected to include these costs in a proposed $200 billion supplemental spending request to the White House.
6,000 PNG users surrendered their LPG connections, says govt
Around 6,000 piped natural gas (PNG) consumers have surrendered their liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) connections as of Saturday, petroleum and natural gas secretary Neeraj Mittal said. Mittal thanked those who had given up their connections and urged more PNG users to follow suit so LPG cylinders can be made available to households that do not have access to piped gas.
