Teen dies by suicide after failing BSEB Class X exam

A 19-year-old student in Sasaram reportedly died by suicide after failing the BSEB Matric exams for the fourth time. Hari Om, a student of Behlari High School, allegedly jumped from his terrace shortly after the results were announced. The incident has deeply affected his family, with police investigating the matter.

Sasaram: A 19-year-old student allegedly died by suicide in Sasaram soon after the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Matric results were declared on Sunday.Hari Om, a resident of Shiv Colony and a student of Behlari High School, was distressed after failing the examination for the fourth consecutive time.

Police said he went to the terrace of his house and allegedly jumped from the third floor, dying on the spot.He was the eldest among five siblings. His father, Satiendra Paswan, is a Bihar Police personnel currently undergoing training in New Delhi.A relative, Ekbal Paswan, said the examination result had deeply shocked him. Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigation is underway.
