Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ is holding steady at the box office, crossing Rs 70 crore net collection. The film, directed by Harish Shankar, is inching towards the Rs 100 crore gross mark worldwide. Despite a dip on its second Monday, the movie’s message-driven narrative and star power continue to draw audiences.

Pawan Kalyan starrer ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ directed by Harisha Shankar is continuing a decent run at the box office after it’s March 19 clash with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. Latest box office reports suggest that the film on its second Monday, added over Rs 35 lakh to its total collections.As per trade analyst Sacnilk, ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ in its first week minted over Rs 65.95 crore. However, during its second week, its numbers fell, as the daily collection added around Rs 1 crore. On day 8th, the film made Rs 1 crore, and saw little growth on its second Friday (Day 9), earning Rs 1.10 crore. Later on the second Saturday and Sunday the film added Rs 86 lakh and Rs 1.03 crore respectively. On Monday, the film hit its lowest collection to date, earning Rs 35 lakh.

This brings the film’s total net collection to an estimated Rs 70.29 crore.Meanwhile, the film’s worldwide gross collections are still on its way to the Rs 100 crore mark, with its current total estimated at Rs 94.38 crore.

Theatrical occupancy

The movie had an overall 14.55% occuapancy on Monday. During its morning shows, it recorded over 9.55%, then increased to 13.73% in the afternoon. It’s evening shows recorded the highest footfalls, at around 17.09% and then concluded the day with 13.09% during the night shows.

Directed by Harish Shankar, the film follows a strong, message-driven narrative. It tells the story of a tribal boy who grows up inspired by his teacher, who names him Bhagat Singh. As he grows older, he stands against injustice and takes on powerful enemies. The movie received mixed to positive reviews upon its release. The film includes Pawan Kalyan, with Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna as female leads. Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, BS Avinash, R Parthiban, Gautami and Chammak Chandra are also part of the cast.
