Krishnagiri: Three men have been booked for trying to drag a girl out of a private college bus near Kaveripattinam a few days ago.One of the accused has been identified as Thangaraj, who runs a fish shop at Chettimarampatty.
He was having an affair with a college girl from Chautahalli for more than a year. “On March 26, when the student was travelling on her college bus to Mannan Nagar area at Malayandahalli, Thangaraj and his two friends, who were drunk, boarded the bus and tried to drag her out of it by holding her hand,” said a police officer. According to the officer, other students intervened and argued with them. The confrontation lasted for more than 20 minutes, before the trio fled. Fellow students on the bus recorded the incident and circulated the same on social media, where it went viral. The Kaveripattinam police have registered a case against Thangaraj and his accomplices. Further investigation is under way.
