After Iruttu and Thalainagaram 2 , director Dhorai VZ is all set to reunite with Sundar C for an untitled horror-thriller. Dhorai shares that Iruttu ’s success and reach played a key role in this film’s origin.
“We wanted to retain a connection with Iruttu while introducing something unique.
This time, we focused heavily on sound design to create a immersive horror experience, so that audience feel the fear through what they see and hear,” he says.He explains that the film blends myth with contemporary elements. “It’s not just a horror film — it has black humour, slapstick comedy, and a strong investigative thread,” he adds.

On Sundar C’s role, Dhorai reveals that the filmmaker-actor will be seen in a new and intriguing avatar. “He plays a cop, but there’s a surprising twist to his character,” he hints.He also points out that the film draws inspiration from international horror styles, particularly from Indonesian cinema. “Indian horror often follows a familiar pattern, but globally, especially in Indonesia, there are newer storytelling techniques.
We’ve tried to bring that freshness here.”The project features a diverse cast, including two female leads from Malayalam and Kannada, a prominent Telugu actor as the antagonist, and a Hollywood actor in a role set in a 200-year-old timeline.
