Iran retains significant missile capability despite US-Israel strikes: Reports
Iranian missile and drone attacks across West Asia have continued unabated since the conflict began 35 days ago. The US Central Command and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth have repeatedly been stating that Iran’s missile launches have been down by 90% since the initial days of the conflict.
A recent report from US based CNN has stated that despite the specific targeting of missile launchers and drones, nearly half of Iran’s missile launchers are still intact.Iran still has over half of its stockpile of missiles that it is using to target its neighbours as well as striking targets in Israel.

The report comes at a time when the American Central Command, which operates in the West Asia region, claims to have hit over 12,300 targets across Iran.
The White House has also claimed that the Iranian Navy has been destroyed and two-thirds of Iran’s drone production apparatus has been destroyed by American airstrikes.
Despite these claims, Iran continues to strike US military bases in the region and has destroyed critical assets in the region.According to the same report, Israeli military has claimed that the number of Iranian launches are down to 20-25% of the numbers at the beginning of the conflict.
The report does mention that Tel Aviv does not count the missile launchers that have been buried or have been made inaccessible in caves and tunnels.

One of the reasons that Iran has been able to protest their missile launchers is that they have prepared an extensive tunnel network in which these mobile systems can be hidden, as per the report. The tunnels also help hide these launchers from the prying eyes of US intelligence aircraft and satellites. Both the US and Israel have been targeting tunnel entrances and underground facilities using bunker buster bombs. The Americans also recently targeted an ammunition facility, near Isfahan in central Iran, that was said to be linked to Iranian missiles.
