Bokaro: Police on Friday began investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl in Giridih district, who became pregnant. The accused is at large, police said.In his written complaint, the survivor’s father alleged a 35-year-old man from the same village repeatedly raped her daughter after intimidating and threatening her.
On April 2, the girl’s mother grew suspicious after noticing physical changes in her daughter.On enquiring, the parents learnt about her ordeal. The girl told her parents that the man had continued to sexually abuse her while threatening to kill her. In his complaint, the father stated that his daughter is four months’ pregnant.“An FIR was registered immediately after the sexual abuse of a minor girl came to light. Further legal proceedings in are underway. The local station in-charge has been directed to arrest the accused as soon as possible,” said Bimal Kumar, SP of Giridih.Police have also informed the Child Rights Protection Commission about the case.
