Actor Vidaarth is set to headline a new rural drama titled Thodakkam , directed by debutant Thulasi Raman. Chandini Tamilarasan will pair up with the actor in the film that’s set against a rural backdrop.Vidaarth plays a father of two whose life changes when a major problem strikes.

Delving into the storyline, the actor shares, “The story is about how a family comes together to face the problem and how a father’s struggles are often understood only later in life.

The film also explores the strong bond between a father and daughter shares the actor, adding, “The film also focuses on the importance of education and highlights the difference between ’80s kids and Gen Z and tries to break stereotypes.”Speaking about the script, Vidaarth says, “After a long time, I came across a script this interesting. It felt like a script of a Malayalam film!” Malayalam actress Shreya Rukmini will make her Tamil debut with the film, which also features actress Esther Anil and child actor Keshav in key roles.On his other projects, Vidaarth shares, “I am acting in a film directed by KS Adhiyaman featuring Lijomol Jose and Revathy. I’m also a part of a film with Anbazhagan and a thriller titled Dark Red , alongside Vetri, in which I play a police officer. The film is being directed by a Singapore-based filmmaker.”
