Wedding bells are ringing for Aryan and Disha, but Arman’s impending marriage to Meher sparks controversy. Manisha secures permission to attend Aryan’s wedding via a ritual, while Mukti grapples with memory loss and a desire for revenge. Abhira vehemently opposes Arman’s union with Meher, vowing to expose her truth.
‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ opens with Mukti asking Myra if her father is happy about the marriage plan. Myra says it will take him time to process it. Mukti then asks about Myra’s mother, noting that Myra never talks about her.
Myra avoids the question and shows Mukti a picture of Arman and Meher instead. Mukti is visibly shaken seeing it. She asks Myra for her medicine, explaining that she sometimes gets severe headaches that feel like her brain is trying to recall something it has buried. The detail is small, but the show frames it carefully.
A ritual to let Manisha attend the wedding
Damyanti argues with Manisha that as Aryan’s mother, she should not attend his wedding according to tradition.
Manisha tells her that Damyanti always hides behind beliefs when it suits her. Nakul asks if the Poddars do not respect traditions at all. The argument goes back and forth until a solution is found: a ritual will be performed so that Manisha can attend Aryan’s wedding without breaking any rules. Kaveri organises the preparations.
The ritual involves the women of the house, and Kaveri orders all the men outside. Kajal, dressed as a man, raises questions.
Kaveri explains that in older times, women could not go out, so they would stage mock ceremonies among themselves for entertainment. Sanjay stares at Kajal’s makeover and has no words.Later, Mukti asks Abhira why she cannot remember her own childhood. Abhira tells her not to stress about it, that memories come back when the time is right. She tells Mukti quietly that she will take her revenge on Meher, too. Mukti then tells Abhira that Myra wants both of them to attend Arman and Meher’s wedding.
Abhira is stunned into silence.
Vidya tells Arman that the day after Aryan and Disha’s wedding, his wedding with Meher will take place. She asks if he is fine with it. Arman says he has no problem. Vidya then goes to Damyanti and asks if the priest has confirmed the date for Arman and Meher’s wedding. Damyanti confirms the date has been checked. Vidya welcomes Meher into the rituals. Meher tries to speak to Kaveri. Kaveri ignores her completely.
Damyanti notices and asks Kaveri directly if she dislikes Meher.
Kaveri tells her honestly that she does not like Meher but feels helpless because of Arman’s decision. Damyanti admits quietly that in just a few days, she has been unable to forget Abhira and wonders what Arman is carrying inside.
Abhira draws her line
Abhira goes to Arman and tells him he cannot marry Meher. Arman tells her she has always had a problem with Meher. Abhira tells him she will not allow this marriage.
Arman says there is nothing she can do. Abhira tells him to bring Myra to the house, and she will expose Meher’s truth in front of everyone. Arman does not respond.
The dance floor
Myra pulls Arman onto the dance floor, and the celebrations get louder. Madhav, Sanjay, Nakul, Aryan, Krish, and Myra all dance together. Aryan pulls Arman into the moment, asking if he is still thinking about Abhira. Meanwhile, Abhira dances but keeps finding ways to get in Meher’s way, making her discomfort visible without saying a word directly.Precap: Abhira tells Arman she has found proof against Meher.
