
Devotees take out a procession from Naka Gurdwara
Lucknow: Devotion and spiritual fervour marked the 405th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur in the city on Monday, with large gatherings of devotees at gurdwara Mansarovar and gurdwara Yahiyaganj.At Gurdwara Mansarovar, the celebrations featured shabad kirtans and discourses on the life and sacrifices of Guru Tegh Bahadur.Head priest Harvinder Singh spoke about the Guru’s message of honesty, unity and dignity and urged devotees to follow these values in everyday life.A procession was also taken out from Naka gurdwara and passed through Pandeyganj and Rakabganj before culminating at gurdwara Yahiyaganj.The procession led by the Panj Pyare, dressed in traditional attire, while the Guru Granth Sahib, decorated with flowers, was carried with reverence. Devotees lined up across the streets, offered prayers.
