Railways introduces special trains between Maharashtra and Bihar

In response to the soaring summer travel demand, Indian Railways has introduced three special trains to link Maharashtra and Bihar. Passengers can now conveniently travel between Pune and Danapur, as well as from Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to both Danapur and Samastipur. This service will remain operational until July 15, providing essential support for travelers during this busy season.

Patna: The railways has introduced three special trains from Tuesday, connecting key routes between Maharashtra and Bihar to ease the passenger rush during summers.According to the ECR’s chief pubic relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra, these services have been provided on the Pune-Danapur, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Mumbai-Danapur and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai-Samastipur routes.“The Pune-Danapur will be operational till July 15. The train departed from Pune at 3.30pm on Tuesday and will reach Danapur at 2.45am on the third day. On its return journey, it will leave Danapur at 5am and arrive at Pune the next day at 6.15pm,” he said.Similarly, the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai-Danapur also runs daily from Tuesday till July 15. “The train departs from LTT Mumbai at 10.30am and reaches Danapur the following day at 6.45pm.

On its return journey, it leaves Danapur at 9.30pm and reaches LTT Mumbai on the third day at 3.45am,” the CPRO said.In addition, a weekly Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai-Samastipur has been introduced. The train will depart from LTT Mumbai every Tuesday at 12.15pm and reach Samastipur at 11.45pm the next day via Danapur, Patliputra and Hajipur route. On its return journey, it will leave Samastipur every Thursday at 3am and arrive at LTT Mumbai the next day at 4.25pm.
