Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath honoured 15 scientists under the ‘Uttar Pradesh Krishi Vaigyanik Samman Yojana’ 2025-26. Additionally, 30 scientists from the Uttar Pradesh Academy of Agricultural Sciences were also honoured for their outstanding work.
Lifetime achievement award was conferred on Satya Prakash, professor and HOD vegetable science at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut.Distinguished scientist award was given to the following: Lokesh Kumar Gangwar for agricultural science; Akhilesh Chandra Mishra for vegetable and horticulture science; Anil Kumar Gangwar for Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science and Fisheries Science; Vaishali for biotechnology; Krishna Kumar Singh for Social Sciences (Agricultural Extension Education, Agricultural Economics, Home Science, Agricultural Statistics and Distinguished Woman Scientist Award to Shweta.
