New Delhi: In a bureaucratic reshuffle, Delhi govt on Thursday transferred and posted 33 IAS and Danics officers. G Narendra Kumar, a 1989-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed financial commissioner.
IAS officer Prashant Goyal (1993 batch) has been appointed as additional chief secretary of the food and civil supplies department with additional charge of administrative reforms and power departments, both of which are key focus areas of Delhi govt.IAS officer Sonika Singh of the 2015 batch, who was posted as the special secretary-cum private secretary to LG, has been transferred and posted as commissioner of DDA.
2014-batch IAS officer Somya Saurabh, currently posted as DM North West, has been given additional charge of special secretary industries.The reshuffle included a large number of Danics officers. Navlendra Kumar Singh, a 2006 batch officer who was posted as additional director social welfare, has been posted as additional commissioner GST.Mangal Siani, a 2022-batch officer, has been posted as superintendent of the central jail. Om Prakash Saini of 2025 batch has been appointed deputy secretary of DSSSB.An official said that the changes were required because many young Danics officers were awaiting posting while some posts of the officers were lying vacant.
