Amidst heartfelt pleas from Manoj, Abhira and Arman find themselves entangled in a six-day faux marriage for Gangaur. Disha and Aryan secretly forge plans to reignite their deeply buried romance, with small, tender signs suggesting unresolved feelings. Conflict brews as Madhav confronts Vidya about her choice to overlook Abhira during the mehendi festivities.
‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ opens with Abhira lost in thought over Myra’s words that she cannot return to their life. Myra, on her end, has convinced herself that Abhira simply does not care enough, closing the door on any hope of reconciliation.
Arman senses Abhira’s distress and gently asks if she visited Myra at school. She nods, saying nothing more, and the silence between them carries everything. At the house, Aryan catches Manisha calmly sorting wedding outfits for him and cannot believe what he is seeing. He points out that Abhira and Arman are barely holding things together, Vidya is constantly on Abhira’s case, and Disha’s family situation is anything but simple.
Manisha brushes it all aside with one line: he is marrying Disha, not her family.

The fake marriage reaches its breaking point
On the way back from seeing Myra, Abhira tells Arman plainly that the pretend husband and wife act needs to stop. Arman tries to reason with her, but she is done. Back home, they announce their decision in front of the entire family. Aryan tries to talk them out of it, and when that does not work, Manoj steps in with a quiet request: hold it together just until Gangaur, and leave the rest to God.
Something about the simplicity of that ask lands, and both Abhira and Arman agree to keep up the pretence for six more days.Aryan immediately pulls Disha aside with the news. But Disha is not relieved. She is terrified that even six days will not be enough to save her own wedding, and together she and Aryan quietly decide to do whatever it takes to reignite something real between Abhira and Arman.
Small gestures that say everything
Their first move is subtle. Aryan casually lets Abhira overhear that Arman is not supposed to have ice in his drinks.
Without a word to anyone, she slips over and quietly removes the ice from his glass. Aryan notices and asks her why. She pretends she did not hear the question. Later, when Aryan tells Arman that Abhira still looks out for him in small ways, Arman does not respond. Krish watches all of this and thinks quietly to himself that Aryan has no idea Meher has her eye on Arman.Tanya hands Abhira a Gangaur outfit, and old memories rush back in.
She finds a stole with Arman’s name on it and quietly decides to hide it rather than deal with the questions it would invite. Arman, meanwhile, begins to wonder whether Abhira actually helped calm Myra down and goes looking for her. He finds her crying alone. He asks if someone said something to hurt her. Abhira tells him he has no right to her pain anymore.
He offers her a tissue. She does not take it. He stands there anyway, caught somewhere between irritation and something he cannot name, while she cries without looking at him.
Madhav steps in where Vidya will not
In the mehendi corner, Manisha, Kajal, Tanya, and Vidya settle in for the Gangaur ritual. Vidya says out loud that she doubts Kaveri will show up as long as Abhira is around. Kaveri surprises everyone by walking in and applying mehendi on Vidya’s hand, then Manisha’s. When Tanya invites Abhira to join, Vidya cuts in and says there is no need. Before the moment can turn ugly, Madhav quietly sits down and begins applying mehendi on Abhira’s hand himself, making sure she is not left out.Precap: During the Gangaur celebrations, a wardrobe nearly falls on Abhira, and Arman shouts at her for not caring about her own safety. Abhira tells him it would have been better if it had fallen, since it might have finally set him free from her. Arman stops, looks at her, and confesses his love.
