Two Telugu films, ‘Biker’ and ‘Raakaasa’, were released on the same day, April 3, creating a box office battle. ‘Biker’ is an action racing-based movie starring Sharwanand, and ‘Raakaasa’ is a fantasy comic thriller led by Sangeeth Sobhan.
The contrasting themes gave moviegoers two different entertainment choices in theatres. While both movies belong to different genres, they targeted a similar audience during their opening weekend.Both films managed to register decent openings during their first weekend. However, with the onset of weekdays, the battle between the two releases was evident in terms of collections and footfalls during the day.
Day 4 collections show ‘Raakaasa’ leading slightly over ‘Biker’
As per Sacnilk, on Day 4 (first Monday), ‘Biker’ collected around ₹0.94 crore in India net collections. With this, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 8.35 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 9.72 crore so far. The film has also earned Rs 1.60 crore from overseas markets, pushing its worldwide gross collection to Rs 11.32 crore after four days in theatres.Meanwhile, ‘Raakaasa’ performed slightly better on Monday.
The fantasy entertainer earned Rs 1.12 crore in India net collections from about 1,485 shows. This brings the film’s India net total to Rs 9.12 crore, while the India gross has reached Rs 10.51 crore so far. Global markets added further strength to the film’s performance. With Rs 3.30 crore collected overseas, the film’s worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 13.81 crore.

However, an unexpected mystery awaits him, associated with a fort that is supposedly cursed and has many unknown tales emerging from it.
