Bokaro Electricity Department: Link Mobile Number to Account for Better Billing & Services

Bokaro: The district electricity department has advised consumers to link their mobile numbers with their respective accounts, stating that the initiative will help streamline communication and reduce billing-related issues.Consumers can complete the registration process by submitting a self-attested copy of their Aadhaar card along with their mobile number details at the office of the assistant engineer (sub-division). If the mobile number belongs to another individual, a self-attested document along with that person’s consent will be required. The department has also urged consumers to report issues such as non-receipt of bills, billing errors, meter number mismatches, faulty meters, or other related discrepancies.Additionally, consumers who face difficulty in making lump-sum payments may apply for instalment-based payment options by submitting a formal request. All complaints and applications must be submitted in writing at the office of the Executive Engineer (division). The deputy commissioner of Bokaro, Ajay Nath Jha, has also appealed to consumers to complete linking on time to ensure efficient and transparent electricity services.
