
As ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ continues to dominate headlines, a throwback behind-the-scenes moment has now caught the attention of fans. During the film’s shoot early this January, the makers recreated an entire street in Mumbai to match the setting of Lyari, Pakistan.
The shoot took place at Ballard Estate, where a lane was redesigned for the film.
Ballard estate transformed into Lyari
The production team went all out to achieve authenticity and a section of Ballard Estate was completely converted into Lyari, which is one of the key backdrops in the film. The area was tightly secured and cordoned off during filming and despite restrictions, glimpses from the shoot have now surfaced online.
Netizen shares viral BTS experience
A netizen who managed to witness the shoot shared their experience online. The post read, “Dhurandhar 2 is still shooting just a month before its release. Couldn’t get much more info, but they’ve converted an entire gully in Ballard Estate into Lyari. The whole area was cordoned off, but I somehow managed to sneak in along with the background artists. Even from a distance, Sanjay Dutt has an incredible aura. And honestly, Arjun Rampal looks even more handsome than before.”
Film continues record-breaking run
Meanwhile, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is achieving massive success at the box office.On Day 4, the film collected Rs 114.85 crore net, with a gross of Rs 137.43 crore across 21,202 shows. The total worldwide gross has now reached Rs 691.32 crore. This includes Rs 541.97 crore from India and Rs 149.35 crore from overseas markets.Along with Ranveer Singh, the ensemble cast, including Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and many others, have been receiving praise for their performance in this spy thriller.
