Jr NTR’s upcoming film, tentatively titled NTRNEEL, is actively filming, with director Prashanth Neel sharing a glimpse of the star’s ripped physique. Makers have debunked rumors of production delays, assuring fans the project is on track. Reports also suggest Shahid Kapoor might join the cast as the antagonist, with Rukmini Vasanth and Anil Kapoor already confirmed.
Jr NTR will next be seen in the upcoming film tentatively titled NTRNEEL, directed by Prashanth Neel. The film is currently being shot, and recently the makers shared an update by posting a picture of Jr NTR from his workout session, where he is seen in a ripped physique.
Jr NTR’s muscular look
The production’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle shared a picture of Jr NTR, where he is seen showing his big and sharp muscles as he flexes his chiselled back and biceps. Along with the picture, the makers wrote, “The quieter it gets…the louder it’s about to be.”
The picture comes after the makers clarified that the shooting of the film is progressing well and debunked any rumours that the makers put the film on hold, stating, “not to believe or spread unverified information.”

They further wrote, “There is absolutely no truth to the rumours circulating about the look or any schedule cancellation. The film is progressing as planned, with only a routine preparation gap. We request everyone not to believe or spread unverified information. Official updates will always come from us.” For the past couple of days, multiple rumours have been circulating online that their has been hurdles in the shooting and that the makers have put the project on a temporary pause.
Cast of ‘Dragon’
Additionally, there have been reports suggesting that Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is in talks to play the main antagonist of the film opposite Jr NTR, after Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas took an exit.
Speaking about the cast, ‘Kanatara Chapter 1’ fame Rukmini Vasanth will be seen as the leading lady. On the other hand, Anil Kapoor is also part of the film and is expected to play a key role.Rumoured to be named ‘Dragon’, the film is scheduled to hit the screens on June 25, 2026, however, it is expected to be pushed ahead.
