Noida: An electrician died after sustaining serious injuries at an under-construction building site in Sector 67 on Monday.The incident occurred on Saturday evening when Saurabh Kamat was working on a scissor lift — a mobile elevating work platform designed for vertical lifting, utilizing a criss-cross pantograph mechanism — installed at the building, Phase-III police officials said.
The lift suddenly started moving upwards while Kamat, a resident of Garhi Chaukhandi village, was inside it. As the lift allegedly moved without the button being pressed, he suffered severe injuries. Co-workers present at the site immediately informed the person overseeing the construction work, after which Kamat was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, he died due to serious injuries to his head and other parts of the body, police said.After the autopsy, the body was handed over to the family. Officials said the deceased’s family has not yet submitted a written complaint.
