Iran To Strike NATO Territory After Gulf? US-led Bloc Scrambles As Missile Threat Escalates

NATO member Turkey has significantly strengthened its air defence posture in response to growing missile and drone threats from Iran. Following reports of Iranian ballistic missiles near Incirlik Air Base, Ankara has deployed an additional Patriot missile defence system to the region. The move, coordinated with NATO Allied Air Command, brings the total number of Patriot batteries in Turkey to three, reinforcing protection around key military installations. The advanced system is designed to intercept ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as hostile aircraft. Turkish officials say the deployment is part of broader measures to secure national airspace, even as Ankara maintains a neutral stance in the Iran conflict.
