Panaji: Goa police on Saturday registered an FIR against two persons for allegedly cheating a person of over Rs 50 lakh on the pretext of giving 40% on his investment in a business.DySP PRO Nilesh Rane said Ashwin Arun Adsul, a resident of Pune, stated in his complaint that from Aug 2023 to Nov 7, 2023, the accused persons Sonail Saraf and Krishna Saraf, proprietor of a business venture ‘Sonhe Gastropub the Sea (resort)’, Siridao, induced him to invest Rs 58 lakh in the business venture on a promise that he would receive 40% profit share in the said venture.Rane said, however, both the accused persons failed to provide the agreed share of profits to the complainant and returned only Rs 7.5 lakh, thereby cheating the complainant.Further investigation is in progress with PSI Deepika Parwar.
